Formerly the garden was known by the name Royal Botanical Garden. The Central National Herbarium of the Botanical Survey of India situated here has a collection of 2,500,000 dried plants. Birla Planetorium - Established in the year 1962, Birla Planetarium of Kolkata is one of the largest museum and center of science in Asia. The bridge was inaugurated on 10th Oct 1992 and was named after the name of the great Indian reformist Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.
Saheed Minar – While travelling Kolkata, you will find lots of impressive architectures and monuments. 158 ft Saheed Minar built as memorandum of the founder’s victory in the Nepal War of 1814-1816 near the Esplanade is just one of such eye catching architectural beauty.
